Dr Klara Scheurenbrand
SIG Chair (Responsible Youth)

Klara Scheurenbrand is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Essca Management School. Klara holds a PhD in Management Studies received from the University of Liverpool. Prior to joining Essca Management School, Klara was appointed as lecturer in Marketing at Newcastle University. Her research programme applies practice-based approaches to sustainable transformation and social change in the contexts of the UN SDGs, including responsible youth, mobility, food poverty and digital spaces. Klara conducts qualitative research internationally and is a AMA certified Digital Marketing Expert, awarded by the Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin.

Klara has over 8 years of industry experience in marketing, advertising and retail. Her professional background builds on her dual undergraduate education received from the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg. She speaks German, English and Spanish fluently.

As an advocate for the sustainable future for humanity, Klara is particularly interested in how the forthcoming generation thinks, acts, and perpetuates responsible change.
